Bridge Update:
KN – Only got one bid; cost was 3 times more than anticipated

Ice Cream Social
MF – Saturday Aug 27th 4:30 – 6:30
David and Marc will meet week before to figure out flavors and organize volunteers

Dam removal
HS – not going to happen, too expensive, too much liability

Mulberry St Flagpole LIghts
PG – wants to buy solar lights – approved
MF – to help install

MF – Jeff Rosen wrote a book, how about a reading Q&A in winter,
HS – to do an article in Sept newsletter

150th River Anniversary
Dam memorial needs cleaning up end of summer /fall
New plantings ( bulbs?)
EM – we could ask Smith voc horticultural students to clean it up
Flood Memorial committee is planning week long events

Veteran Affair
EM – memorial day event was successful
DPW has temporary speed bumps to curb speeders during event

River cleanup – not bad, tire and tow small grills
